A fan was taken to hospital after a number of Bodo/Glimt supporters fell through a hole in the away stand at Tromso.

The Norwegian top-flight match at Romssa Arena on Sunday was paused just before half-time after Bodo keeper Nikita Haikin called for the referee's attention.

Bodo/Glimt press officer Simen Pedersen told the Reuters news agency that "up to five people fell through the stands".

"We stood and bounced to a supporter song, then the floor gave way," Bodo supporter Andrine Moen told local newspaper Verdens Gang, as reported by Reuters.

"It cracked in two in the row in front of us. There were at least two people who fell through the floor, but we don't know how far they fell or how many fell in total."

The remaining Bodo supporters were moved into other parts of the ground before the match resumed.

The match at Tromso's stadium - the northernmost venue in Norway's Eliteserien - was played in heavy rain.

The score was 0-0 at the time of the incident, but Bodo forward Ola Brynhildsen scored twice after the game resumed to give the league leaders a 2-0 win.

Bodo are locked in a title battle with Viking and the Eliteserien season is set to finish in the first week of December.
