Before the completion of the challan in the Hina Javed murder case, the victim's family has sought complete details of the evidence and investigation reports included in the police report. Fahad Javed, the victim's brother and complainant in the case, has written to the Punjab Ombudsman, demanding certified copies of the evidence while once again expressing a lack of confidence in the police investigation and the high-level investigation team. In his letter, Fahad sought certified copies of reports prepared by the police investigation and the high-level investigation team, along with DNA, polygraph test and other relevant reports. He also demanded detailed call data records of the victim's mobile phone, her message records and CCTV footage from cameras installed at her apartment and in the surrounding area. The letter further seeks details of harassment-related cases against suspect Faisal Asghar during his professional career. Earlier, the victim's family had also rejected the police's move to conduct a fresh investigation. According to the family, SSP Investigation Saifullah had contacted them and summoned them to sign a request seeking the transfer of the investigation to another district. However, after reading the contents of the application, they refused to agree to the process. The family maintains that a high-level committee of the Punjab Police has already declared the nominated suspects innocent, leaving them with no confidence in another investigation conducted by the police. According to the affected family, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had advised them to submit an application seeking the transfer of the investigation to the police of another district. However, they are demanding the establishment of a judicial commission to ensure a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the case. The family has also sent a letter to the National Assembly's Interior Committee, conveying its reservations about the proposed fresh investigation and reiterating its demand for a judicial commission. Meanwhile, Pakistan's First Lady and Member of the National Assembly, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, has also met Hina Javed's family in Parliament and assured them of her full support in their struggle for justice. In her statement, she said the family wanted a judicial commission to conduct a comprehensive and thorough investigation into the matter, adding that she hoped the demand would be considered seriously.
