The N1 South outside Polokwane in Limpopo has been reopened following an earlier closure after a fatal crash.
Traffic spokesperson, Mashudu Mabata says a taxi overturned killing one woman. Mabata says six passengers were seriously injured while six others sustained slight injuries.
“The N1 near Lunds, outside Polokwane, has been cleared and is now open for traffic. The road was partially closed following an accident at approximately quarter past eleven, involving a Quantum minibus that overturned. Preliminary reports suggest the vehicle suffered a tyre puncture, resulting in the accident. One female passenger lost her life in the accident. Another female passenger sustained critical injuries, while six passengers sustained serious injuries. A further six passengers sustained minor injuries.
