Moreshet Foundation has joined the Private Foundations Constituency of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), marking a significant step in its efforts to advance education and strengthen education systems globally.
The Foundation was represented at the constituency’s recent hustings by Mad. Betty Akuffo-Amoabeng, a member of its Advisory Council. She will serve alongside Dr. Richard Boadu, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, as its representatives within the constituency.
Moreshet Foundation has congratulated Lucy Lake of the Yidan Prize Foundation and Dr. Andrew Cunningham of the Aga Khan Foundation on their re-election as constituency leaders.
The Foundation says it looks forward to working with the re-elected leaders and other members to advance shared priorities in education.
It believes the membership will provide an opportunity to amplify African philanthropic perspectives in global education discussions, partnerships and decision-making, while promoting greater collaboration towards more inclusive and equitable education systems.
The development also reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Moreshet Foundation has consequently called on philanthropic institutions and development partners to deepen collaboration and ensure that African voices play a meaningful role in shaping the future of global education.
