The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) national spokesperson, Mkhuleko Hlengwa, says they have not reached the coalition talks phase as results continue to come in.

Speaking to SABC News in Midrand, Hlengwa says their main priority is the result outcomes.

“IFP has not arrived at coalition considerations yet. The count is of critical importance, and we are viewing elections as a process and not an event. This slow pace in certain areas of the counting is getting our undivided attention because that will have a material bearing in terms of the outcome, and therefore determine how we proceed with coalition negotiations, so the focus for us is really on the count.”
