Actor Aijaz Aslam has taken fans on a nostalgic journey into the 1990s, sharing a rare television clip from what he remembers as an Eid special on Pakistan Television, when familiar faces gathered for an afternoon of light-hearted questions and unscripted conversation.
In the video, shared on Instagram, Aslam appears alongside several prominent entertainment personalities of the era, including the late actor and comedian Khawaja Akmal and Adnan Siddiqui. The session, hosted by Laila Wasti, captures an easy-going exchange that offers a glimpse of a different television culture.
One particularly amusing moment comes when Aslam asks Khawaja Akmal what scope an actor has after putting on weight. The comedian responds with a witty reference to "cinema scope", prompting laughter from those gathered in the room.
Looking back at the programme, Aslam said it was an Eid show from the 1990s, although he admitted he was not entirely certain of the occasion. The team had prepared a few entertaining questions for the guests, but the resulting exchanges, he suggested, were simply genuine conversations among colleagues.
"There were no fancy sets, no scripts built for virality. It was just warmth, respect and real conversations," he wrote. The actor acknowledged that television production and the entertainment industry have changed considerably since those days.
"The frames have changed, the shows have changed and the whole industry has evolved. But watching this, I realise what we had back then, Those were simple times and beautiful times, and I miss them more than words can say," he said.
He ended his reflection with a line that captured his sense of longing for that period: "Wo din bhi kya din thay." The clip has also prompted fans to revisit memories of the era, celebrating a television tradition that the actor clearly holds close.
