The African National Congress has retained its position as the leading party in the Free State province.
The ANC secured 244 seats, followed by the Democratic Alliance with 150 seats and the Economic Freedom Fighters securing 40 seats.
In the 2021 local government elections, the ANC secured a total of 328 council seats across the province.
The Free State has become the second provice to complete vote capturing.
