“The enemy attacked Odesa again. Infrastructure was damaged. Unfortunately, one person was killed,” Lysak wrote in an official dispatch.

In a follow-up assessment released in the early morning hours, Lysak reported that incoming fire struck a non-residential building in one of the city’s urban districts, sparking an immediate blaze.

Blast waves also shattered windows across adjacent private residences. Emergency services deployed to contain the fire and inspect neighboring structures for further damage.

Attacks on Kremenchuk

The strike on Odesa follows an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on Saturday, targeting private commercial enterprises across two locations in the central city of Kremenchuk in Poltava region.

Poltava Regional Military Administration Head Vitalii Diakivnych confirmed that the strike on Kremenchuk wounded four people and ignited industrial fires across commercial premises. Emergency rescue teams and firefighting detachments secured the perimeter to extinguish active combustion zones.

“In Kremenchuk, enemy UAV impacts were recorded on the territory of private enterprises at two locations. Fires broke out,” Diakivnych stated.

Ballistic barrage on Kyiv

The strikes on Odesa and Kremenchuk followed a major nationwide assault overnight into Saturday, Nov. 7, in which Russian forces launched 36 ballistic missiles and 172 strike drones against Ukrainian regions.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said all 36 ballistic missiles were directed at Kyiv and the surrounding metropolitan region, describing the bombardment as an aggressive posture by Moscow ahead of planned trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 10-11.

“Russia is preparing for trilateral talks by launching ballistics at Ukrainian critical infrastructure,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

“The main target of the strike was again the energy sector.”

The combined barrage wounded nine civilians, including a child, across the capital area, while kinetic impacts and falling debris damaged municipal infrastructure, struck the North Bridge spanning the Dnipro River, and damaged substations connecting the Rivne and Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plants to the capital.
