Tributes continue to pour in for the former deputy mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Luxolo Namette. The United Democratic Movement (UDM) councillor was shot in Motherwell, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape on Saturday.

The killer or killers are still at large and the motive for the murder remains unknown.

The Regional Chairperson of the UDM, Mzukisi Ncayo, paid a visit to the family on Sunday to relay his condolences.

“For now, we cannot sit and discuss how are we going to move forward. In due time,  we are going to discuss and come with feedback to the public, otherwise, for now we are just here to listen to the family. It’s a painful one and it’s gonna take us too long to swallow it because this guy was a community builder.”
